Since 1946, the Segafredo family has been dedicated to hospitality, and the Hotel Ungheria became a favorite among the hotels in Varese for travelers stopping here along the road to Milan, as well as for the elite who came to Varese to enjoy its privileged position nestled among the enchanting hills, lakes and mountains.
The first architect of the success story of the Hotel Ungheria was Ermenegildo Segafredo, who in the 1950’s gave life to one of the most sought after hotels in Varese for its warm hospitality and the attention that the staff dedicated to the hotel’s guests. Dancing hall, restaurant and bocce court entertained the guests who stayed at the hotel both for business and for a vacation during that era.
Over the course of time, the culture of hospitality was passed down from father to son, and the heirs of Ermenegildo Segafredo renovated the Hotel Ungheria to address the needs of modern guests, with the same care and attention as always.
