Tour Presentation

Varese has been the sit for the Cycling world cup in the 1951 and in the 2008, here is the right place to go on bicycle excursions, with the best landscapes and relaxing or changeling tracks, easily reachable from the hotel.
We offer you an electric bike also for the ones who are not so sportive, for an eco-friendly transport.

And now, let's imagine how pleasant can be a day with us. Departure from Hotel Ungheria....

.....Just along the main road there is the ancient Villa Augusta built in the '800 surrounded by the green area of Giubiano. Continuing in direction of the city centre you will pass through the main square "Piazza Monte Grappa" and you will arrive at the fantastic Public Gardens that develop behind the town hall "Palazzo Estense". Next to the gardens you will find the green area around the Villa Mirabello seat of the Musei Civici of Varese that keep archaeological finds.
Going down a hill you will find yourself in Villa Recalcati: nowadays it is a public building that hosts offices. Behind you will find an important french garden with age-old trees and exotic essences.
A little northern there is Villa Mylius that is a little paradise with the green area decorated with stone-balustrades, statues and vases.
The historical Villas of Biumo ask for a little of dedication because they are located on the top of a hill but the effort is recompensed by two masterpieces: Villa Ponti with its immense english park and Villa Panza (FAI property)that surprise everyone with its unique contemporary art collection mixed up with the ancient atmosphere of the building.


The historical Villas in Biumo, "castellanza" on a hill north in the city, request a bit of effort to rise up but the difficulty is recompensed by two wonderful masterpieces: Ville Ponti a bit isolated and immersed in a beautiful english garden, and Villa Panza (FAI property) that surprises everyone with its contemporary art collection.
And just in this marvellous contest, you will have a nice rest and lunch in the "Osteria di Piazza Litta" a corner of delicatessen....Diego and Dennis will prepare an eco-friendly lunch that will surprise your taste.
